The Pakistan T20 League is at its final stage where Multan Sultans will square off with Peshawar Zalmi in the Qualifier match on Thursday, March 14, at the National Stadium in Karachi. 

The top-tier teams clash in the next stages of the tournament in search of the ultimate crown. The Sultans were the first to reach the tournament playoffs stage with seven victories in ten league games before Zalmi entered the ring with six wins in as many games. 

MUL displayed their sheer dominance with a commendable performance in the match against the defending champions Quetta Gladiators in their last league match. 

Back-to-back fifties by captain Mohammad Rizwan (69) and Johnson Charles (53) led the total score to 185 runs at a 4-wicket loss in the first innings of the game. 

Their bowlers were one step ahead of their batters, the entire QUE team was wiped out inside 16 overs at a score of just 106. The architects of the win were young spinner Usama Mir (3/22) and pacer David Willey (3/22), who shared six wickets between them.

On the other side, PES won their last league match in a nail-biting thriller against the Karachi Kings. Their below-par performance with the bat led to a score of only 147 runs at the loss of 6 wickets at the end of 20 overs. Skipper Babar Azam contributed with a half-century along with Caribbean power-hitter smashing 30* runs off just 18 balls to cruise Zalmi to a defendable score.

Their bowling side played a pivotal role with pacer Aamer Jamal doing the magic by defending 17 runs in the final over to win the game by a mere margin of 2 runs.
