Mbappe put up for sale by PSG amid the Reds €200 million transfer ‘bid’

Ligue 1 Champions, PSG has finally decided to sell Kylian Mbappe in the 2023 summer transfer window. The French club does not want to lose the star for anything. Mbappe's status at PSG has become a topic of conversation since the club revealed that the 24-year-old wunderkind would not renew his contract. This means Mbappe can leave for free in the summer of 2024. Luis Enrique's side is of course distraught as they have the potential to not get a penny from the departure of Mbappe who is considered one of the greatest footballers in the world for now.

PSG released a list of players brought to Japan for a pre-season tour. Interestingly, there is no name of Kylian Mbappe on the list. However, the Saudi Club Al-Hilal are offering  Mbappe a €400m contract, with a €200m fee to PSG. In this deal, the Saudi club would let Mbappe join Real Madrid in 2024.

Paris Saint-Germain implicitly wants to emphasize that they intend to sell Mbappe this summer. They of course want to get a splash of fresh funds from the departure of the megastar. PSG felt that Mbappe wanted to leave for free next year, even though he did not inform the club about this desire at all. According to Fabrizio Romano, the club feels betrayed because they believe Mbappe has already agreed to join Real Madrid for free next year.

With PSG's decision, it is interesting to wait how Real Madrid will manoeuvre. Dare they make up for the price tag set by PSG to sign Mbappe this summer? The transfer market will still be open until the end of August 2023. The Mbappe transfer saga is certain to heat up even more. In this match, PSG successfully won with a score of 2-0. Kylian Mbappe, who appeared in the middle of the second half, also scored one goal at the end of the match. Interestingly, a few hours later Mbappe's name was not on the list of players who flew to Japan to face Al Nassr, Cerezo Osaka and Inter Milan. Not liked by fans, Neymar still insists on choosing to stay at PSG.
