End of the Road: Marcus Rashford Will Not Return to Red Devils

The 27-year-old forward Marcus Rashford will most likely no longer wear the Manchester United uniform after completing a loan transfer to Aston Villa in the 2025 winter transfer market.

English striker Rashford, who has lost his place in the main squad under Man United's new coach, Ruben Amorim, last played for the club on December 12, 2024. He finally ended his nightmare by moving from Old Trafford to Villa Park.

The Villans agreed to sign the striker on a short-term loan deal, with an option to buy him permanently for 40 million pounds next summer. Although Rashford's move is temporary, it is very unlikely that he will return to the Red Devils and play for the club again.

He has been a pivotal figure since his debut in 2016. Over Rashford's tenure, the striker has scored 138 goals in 426 appearances across all competitions for the Red Devils. Rashford's contributions include 87 goals and 40 assists in 287 EPL games. In the 2024–2025 season, he made 15 EPL appearances, scoring 4 goals and providing 2 assists.

The England international is under contract until 2028, but if Aston Villa does not make the move permanent, he is expected to be loaned out again next summer. The report also adds that Rashford's relationship with his boyhood club has completely broken down. Even if Amorim leaves the club, Rashford will not return to United."
