Real Madrid keen to sign League One forward Caylan Vickers
Los Blancos immediately want to hire an 18-year-old wunderkind from EFL
La Liga giants Los Blancos are reportedly eyeing EFL striker Caylan Vickers, a wunderkind belonging to League One club, Reading. Vickers is of course still very young at this time, 18 years old and he is a Reading academy player. Vickers plays in the attack line post and he can be operated as a right or left winger.
He can also be played as an attacking midfielder, Vickers will join Reading's first team in 2023. Caylan Vickers immediately became Reading's mainstay player. So far he has played 19 times in all competitions. The Englishman has contributed four goals in the process. He also added four assists.
Vickers' appearance reportedly immediately attracted the attention of Real Madrid as reported by the Sun. Madrid is also reported to have planned a plan to immediately hijack Vickers. However, it is not yet known whether it will be transported in winter or summer 2024. The report also reveals that Real Madrid is not the only club eyeing Caylan Vickers. Madrid reportedly lost quickly to Premier League club Arsenal.
It is reported that Arsenal was attracted to Vickers after seeing the winger's action firsthand. Last November, the wonderkid played for Reading against the Gunners U-21 team. Several other clubs are reportedly also eyeing Vickers which include Leicester City and Norwich City.
