Man United clinched a superb 3-0 win over Leicester City

Manchester United successfully defeated Leicester City with a landslide score of 3-0 in the 11th week of the 2024/2025 Premier League which was held at Old Trafford, on Sunday (10/11/2024). Two of United's winning goals against Leicester came in the first half through Bruno Fernandes' action and Victor Kristiansen's own goal. The Argentine Alejandro Garnacho completed the victory with his team's goal in the second half and made it 3-0 for the hosts.

Thanks to this result, United now sits in 13th place in the standings with 15 points. On the other hand, Leicester sits in 15th place with 10 points. For the record, this is the Red Devils' last match with Ruud van Nistelrooy as interim coach. After this Manchester United will start to be coached by their new permanent manager, Ruben Amorim.

The Red Devils tried to play aggressively from the start of the match. However, Marcus Rashford still had difficulty breaking down the visitors' tight defense. United was only able to open the lead in the 17th minute through a beautiful goal from Fernandes. Receiving a brilliant assist from Amad Diallo, Fernandes unleashed a powerful shot from long range to break through Mads Hermansen's goal.

Man United's lead increased in the 38th minute. Noussair Mazraoui's crossing was headed by Fernandes in the penalty box. The ball hit Victor Kristiansen's knee before going in. The score 2-0 closed the first half. Back from the locker room, MU still dominated the game. To increase the power of the breakthrough, Van Nistelrooy also brought Garnacho to Joshua Zirkzee.

United was only able to increase their lead in the 82nd minute. Garnacho's curved shot from outside the penalty box flew smoothly into the top corner of Leicester's goal without Hermansen being able to anticipate it.
