Reports Claim the Date and Location for the Indian T20 League Mega Auction 2025

The Indian T20 League 2025 mega auction will likely be held in Riyadh in the last week of November. Though the Indian Cricket Board has yet to announce the plans formally, the franchises have informally spitted out their ideas.  

While the previous year’s auction was held in Dubai, this time, the event is expected to be held in the Middle East. In the initial meetings, London and Singapore were regarded as the venues. Still, Saudi Arabia was the best choice because of its favourable time zone with India, which would facilitate the broadcasters. 

According to the sources, the Management and the Indian T20 League officials are in the final stages of deciding on a venue that can accommodate all attendants, including the media and delegations from the 10 franchises, over three days.

Despite the perceived higher costs in the State of Arab than in Dubai, the board is optimistic about the growth potential. They believe that the Indian cash-rich league, being the most popular in the world, is crucial to enter new markets and ensure growth, particularly in terms of a newer, larger fanbase.

With the mega event drawing closer, the franchises are eagerly awaiting the formal invitation from the Indian Cricket Board, which will provide the crucial details of the auction venue. This will allow them to swiftly make all the necessary logistical arrangements, adding to the event's excitement and anticipation.
