Rizwan and Shakeel Run Riot Against Bangladesh's Bowling Struggles
Rizwan and Shakeel decimate the ineffective Bangladesh bowling attack
Mohammad Rizwan and Saud Shakeel put together a mammoth 240-run stand for Pakistan against Bangladesh, as the hosts resurrected the innings that at one stage were falling apart. Both Rizwan and Shaukeel completed their century earlier on day 2. Having added 44 in the final session of Day 1, the pair continued their solid partnership into the morning session on Day 2 and looked comfortable during their stay at the crease. Mehidy Hasan Mehraz eventually broke the historic third-wicket partnership by dismissing Shakeel for 141.
Rizwan is going strong at 133. The wicket-keeper batter has shown immense discipline and composure in his dogged knock. Unlike day one where he was latching onto poor balls, hitting them for boundaries while maintaining a strike rate over 80, day two has been the complete opposite. Today, so far, he has been very cautious in his approach. On tea on day two Pakistan are 367/5.
