The wait was finally over when India’s new jersey for the forthcoming showpiece event was unveiled in a peculiar fashion on Monday. Images of Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli donning the jersey are out. The new jersey hasn’t gone through much change and blue is still the primary colour with orange and a tint of white, giving it a patriotic feel. 

Both Rohit and Virat would be critical to India’s chances at the global event. While Rohit is struggling for form in the ongoing edition of the Indian T20 League, Kohli is leading the charts as the highest run getter. Indian fans would hope Rohit gets back in the groove in Mumbai’s remaining fixtures. The five time champions are already out of the contention for the playoffs
