Al Nassr secured a quarter-final berth in the AFC Champions League

The Saudi side Al Nassr successfully defeated Al Feiha with a score of 2-0 in the second leg of the last 16 of the 2023/2024 Asian Champions League at Al-Awwal Stadium on Wednesday (21 Feb 2024). The Hosts led by Cristiano Ronaldo appeared dominant from the start of the play, however, they had some difficulty breaking down Al Feiha's defense.

In the 17th minute of the game, Otavio broke the shackles for Hosts and scored the first goal of the night for Al Nassr. Meanwhile, before the end of the play, the Portugese Talisman and Al Nassr's ace striker Cristiano Ronaldo extended the scorecard when he scored the goal in the 86th minute of the game and made it 2-0. With this result, Al Nassr secured a berth in the next round of the Asian Champions League after finishing with an aggregate of 3-0. They will face Al Ain in the first leg of the quarter final of the AFC Champions League on 04 March 2024.

Al Nassr immediately pressed on, led by Cristiano Ronaldo while taking eight shots. The Visitors were still able to hold off the hosts at the start of the match. However, their defense finally broke down in the 16th minute, Al Khaibari gave a high pass into the penalty box to Otavio, who then headed the ball. The 29-year-old midfielder also succeeded in breaking through Al Feiha's goal making it 1-0 for Al Nassr.

The match then went tough and the opportunity then came from Ronaldo's header in the 37th minute. But his headed ball still hit the goal post. At the start of the second half, the 5-time Balon d'Or winner scored a goal after receiving a breakthrough pass from Brozovic but the goal was disallowed because he was caught offside.

A few minutes later, Ronaldo had another chance but the ball was still blocked with his foot by goalkeeper Al Feiha. Mane also tried to threaten Al Feiha's goal with a left-foot kick from inside the penalty box but the ball still bounced off the target. Al Nassr was finally able to score another goal and in the 86th minute, the Yellow Submarine's skipper Ronaldo chased a long pass from behind. The goalkeeper tried to block the ball outside the penalty box but failed, the 39-year-old striker scored easily into an empty net and made it 2-0 for Hosts.
