Ruturaj Gaikwad gets injured during Duleep Cup 2024

The second round of Duleep Cup 2024 has just started. In this round, India C is facing India B in Anantapur on Thursday. It was a shocking note for India C as their skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad had to leave the field after playing just two balls.

As a result, Rajat Patidar got the opportunity to replace him and he managed to score 40 off 67 balls. Till writing this India C was 286/3. The left-handed batter Ishan Kishan completed his century and played a crucial knock off 111 off 126 balls.  On the other hand, Baba Indrajith and Kishan had stitched a long partnership of 189 runs. After losing Sai Sudarshan on a score of 97/2 who played a knocked off 43 runs.

Ruturaj Gaikwad came for opening and after hitting a four, he retired hurt on the second ball itself. The 27-year-old batter's ankle got twisted after playing the second ball, due to which he had to return to the dugout. So far Indian Cricket Board has not given any information about Gaikwad's injury.

India B captain Abhimanyu Easwaran won the toss in Anantapur and decided to bowl. Sai Sudarshan and Ruturaj Gaikwad came to open the innings while Mukesh Kumar decided to start things for India B. He was sent for a four on the first ball of the match by Gaikwad soon after that, his ankle was twisted on the second, and due to this, he had to leave the field.
