Bharat Ratna Sachin Tendulkar to felicitate India's U-19 WC winning team during the 3rd T20I against New Zealand

Under the leadership of Shefali Verma, Team India won the title of Under-19 Women's T20 World Championship by beating England Women's in the final by 7 wickets. After winning this inaugural international tournament the Cricket board of India will felicitate the winners by inviting the victorious team India on February 01 during the 3rd and final T20I match between India and New Zealand in Ahmedabad.

The Indian Cricket Board Secretary Jay Shah said that the legendary batter and Bharat Ratna Sachin Tendulkar along with the office bearers of the Indian Cricket Board would host a felicitation ceremony on Wednesday.

Jay Shah wrote on Twitter, "We are very happy to inform you that Bharat Ratna Sachin Tendulkar and Indian Cricket Board officials will felicitate the victorious India Under-19 team on February 1 at Narendra Modi Stadium at 6:30 pm. Young cricketers have made India proud and we will honour their achievements."

Jay Shah had also announced a cash prize of Rs 5 crore for the entire team on behalf of the Indian Cricket Board after winning the title on Sunday. Shah tweeted, 'Women's cricket is at its peak in India and the victory of the World Champion has raised the stature of women's cricket very high. I am happy to announce Rs 5 crore as a prize for the entire team and support staff. This is a path-breaking year.

The 49-year-old legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar is counted among the greatest players in the world. Sachin scored a record-breaking 100 centuries in his career. During this, Sachin scored 51 centuries in Test cricket and 49 in ODIs. He has also been a part of the 2011 World Championship-winning team.

In the U-19 Women's World Championship final, Women's in Blue had to score 69 runs to win against the English side, which they achieved with 36 balls remaining. Saumya Tiwari remained unbeaten after scoring 24 runs, Trisha also played a cameo of 24 runs. Talking about captain Shefali Verma, she contributed 15 runs with the bat. India's junior or senior women's team has won a World Championship title for the first time.
