Team India skipper offers prayers at Siddhivinayak temple

Harmanpreet Kaur, the skipper of the Indian Women’s Cricket Team, on Tuesday visited the Siddhivinayak Ganapati temple in Mumbai. The 34-year-old led Team India to their first-ever Test win against Australia in a recently concluded series on Sunday. 

Also, it is notable to mention that, the Indian Women’s Cricket Team also sealed a victory in a one-off Test against the England Women’s Team.

The management has decided that she will lead Team India in T20Is and ODIs while Smriti Mandhana will be the vice-captain. The side came back from losing 2-1 in a T20I series against England to etch their names in history by winning consecutive Test clashes against England and Australia. They will now face the defending champions in a three-match ODI series on December 28, December 30 and January 2. The Women in Blue will also have an edge over the Kangaroos as all the matches will be played at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Also, the schedule for the three-match T20I series to be played in Navi, Mumbai will be on 5, 7 and 9 January.
