Liverpool Makes Progress in Their Efforts to Extend Luis Diaz's Contract

Premier League giants Liverpool has reportedly made progress in their efforts to extend Luis Diaz's contract. The Reds are currently busy with the dwindling contracts of three of their main players the likes of Mohamed Salah, Virgil van Dijk, and Trent Alexander-Arnold.

The contracts of all three will expire in the summer of 2025. Liverpool must make their contract extensions a priority to complete. However, it is reported that Liverpool is also trying to renew the contracts of other players. One of them is a Colombian striker Luis Diaz. Reportedly, Liverpool has moved to try to extend the Colombian player's contract. This rumor was claimed by Rousing The Kop.

It's just not mentioned how long they want to extend the 27-year-old striker’s contract. The report also stated that Liverpool had opened communication with the winger. Negotiations have been carried out. The media said that there was progress in the talks between the two camps. Luis Diaz was brought in as a replacement for Sadio Mane, he was recruited in January 2022 from FC Porto.

He was able to quickly adapt to his new teammates. Diaz had indeed been injured but after that, he was able to show his best performance again on the left side of Liverpool's attack line. In this 2024/2025 season, Diaz has performed extraordinarily.
