This Barca player loses his cool, involved in squabbles with a fan on the street
Inigo Martinez was involved in a heated conversation with a fan on the street
Barcelona defender’s name Inigo Martinez suddenly went viral on social media after a video emerged showing him scolding a teenage fan on the street. In the video uploaded to X's social media, Martinez is seen stopping his black Range Rover and then getting out to approach the fan who is also approaching him.
Inigo Martinez then cursed at the fan in a high tone, while pointing his index finger at the fan's boy's face. He spoke Spanish for approximately 20 minutes however, the 32-year-old defender did not make physical contact with the fan at all. Until now it is not clear what problem triggered Martinez to curse at his fans. However, it is possible that he was annoyed by the jeers and taunts that the fans made at him. "This is the last time you call me stupid or insult me, the last time you and your friends insult me." That's roughly what Inigo Martinez said according to Spanish media reports.
Martinez's angry video was uploaded to X(Twitter) with a caption that read, "If you leave Athletic you will end up losing..." Inigo Martinez himself only joined Barcelona last summer after leaving Athletic Bilbao, the club he played for five years. So far, the Spaniard has played 19 times for La Blaugrana in all competitions, including when they beat Las Palmas 1-0 last weekend. Thanks to this result, The 26-time La Laiga winner Barca is increasingly comfortable sitting in second place with 67 points after 30 league matches. However, they are still eight points behind Real Madrid who are firmly at the top of the standings.
