Manchester United's still shows interest in Victor Osimhen

Rumours of Manchester United's interest in Victor Osimhen have not lied down yet. The Red Devils reportedly still roping to sign a Napoli striker. Osimhen's name has been widely associated with United since last year. Man United is interested in recruiting him after he successfully led Napoli to win the 2022/2023 Serie A season yesterday. However, this rumour faded, the reason is that last year United decided to bring in Rasmus Hojlund from Atalanta as their new striker. As reported by Corriere Dello Sport, MU is still interested in recruiting Osimhen. They will try to bring in the striker this summer.

According to the report, Manchester United wants to recruit Osimhen as a partner and competitor for Rasmus Hojlund next season. The Red Devils need a proven striker in their attack line because they decided to part ways with Anthony Martial this summer.

Osimhen is considered the perfect figure because he has a proven track record and he is not too old. So he can have a long career at United. However, the same report claims that United has a chance to recruit Osimhen in the summer. The Italian club is ready to part ways with the striker. However, they reportedly asked for a whopping sum of around 120 million Euros for his services.

The Red Devils itself reportedly do not have sufficient funds to cover that price, especially because they are in danger of failing to qualify for Europe next season. So this transfer is difficult to realize. According to rumours circulating, the Nigerian forward himself will most likely continue his career in France. He is rumoured to be a replacement for Kylian Mbappe at PSG next season.
