This EPL coach wants to manage Real Madrid or Barca
Liverpool manager Klopp's next destination is Spain?
Jurgen Klopp reportedly preferred to manage Real Madrid or Barcelona rather than the German national team once he quits Liverpool. The 56-year-old coach Klopp is still under contract with the Reds until 2026 however he decided to end his collaboration with the Reds early. Klopp admitted that he wanted to leave Liverpool at the end of the 2023/2024 season because he had run out of energy.
From there, various speculations emerged about Klopp's future some say he could take a break, but some say the German coach could move to a club outside England. Jurgen Klopp is one of the top managers in the EPL history. So it's natural that the German national team has looked at him but of course, Klopp ignored the news and the reason is that he is still under contract with Liverpool. The German national team itself then changed coaches several times after parting ways with Joachim Loew and 11th ranked side in the world is managed by Julian Nagelsmann.
However, it is said that this did not make the German national team close the door on Klopp. It could be that they will immediately take the opportunity to recruit the 56-year-old manager after he finally leaves Anfield. However, now Germany is said to be biting its finger in the hunt for Jurgen Klopp. The reason is that he is said to be not interested in managing the 4-time World Champions. Klopp is said to be more interested in coaching in Spain as per rumours. Klopp is said to prefer to coach one of the two La Liga giants if not Real Madrid, then Barcelona. However, it seems that currently, the post in Madrid will not be open because Carlo Ancelotti is still there. Klopp's chance to handle Barcelona is wider open because Xavi will leave at the end of the 2023/2024 season too.
Under the leadership of Klopp, the Reds won all the major trophies and he is the only manager to achieve this milestone with Liverpool. Notably, the 56-year-old coach has the best win ratio of any manager in the club's history, with a 60.9% win rate in a total of 471 games played to date.
