This Indian Spin Legend Urges Chahal to Keep his Dream of Playing for the Blues Alive

The Indian selectors didn’t turn towards Yuzvendra Chahal even after his clinical performance in the white ball arena. Recently he was removed from the central contract of the Indian Cricket Board, which was beyond anyone’s thinking. It has all been Yuzi’s self-determination that he has not given up his interest in the game and is picking wickets for the Rajasthan side in the Indian T20 League 2024. He shattered three scalps in the last game against Mumbai including the most vital wicket of their skipper Hardik Pandya to contribute to his team’s victory.

Former Indian spin great, Harbhajan Singh has often talked on behalf of Chahal and he requested the leading wicket-taker in the history of the league to keep his dream alive of representing India in the international circuit.

Bhajji also has words with Yuzi after the match at the iconic Wankhede stadium. “He is a champion bowler and the best in India. Chahal doesn’t need to prove himself. I hope he wins T20 World Cup for India. I request him to keep his dream of another comeback alive, as a lot of cricket is left in him. He can still win matches for India and I am praying for his return to the Indian team,” Harbhajan Singh said on a sports channel.

Chahal expressed that he was not thinking about anything else and just wanted to enjoy the match. “I am not thinking about my comeback as that’s not in my hands. I have stopped going in that direction. My job is to perform for the teams I play for. I am enjoying my cricket and am looking forward to taking wickets for Rajasthan Royals,” Yuzvendra Chahal stated.

Rajasthan overpowered five-time champions in their last game by 6 wickets to fetch their third win of the season. The bowlers restricted the home side to a below-par score of 125 runs and chased down the total in just 15.3 overs with 6 wickets to spare.
