This the real reason behind Salah's fiery exchange with Jurgen Klopp
Lack of interaction sparked Mohamed Salah-Jurgen Klopp spat
Questions have been fired as to how congruous is that Anfield camp after seeing their star forward Mohammad Salah being involved in a heated exchange with his manager, Jurgen Klopp during the Premier League clash against West Ham on Saturday. The Egyptian international was called in the 79th minute from the bench- instantaneously after Michail Antonio netted the equaliser for the hosts in a 2-2 draw.
Tensions between Klopp and Salah continued until the final whistle, as Reds’ top goal-scorer headed down the tunnel without shaking hands with his manager, and it is the lack of interaction that is said to have ignited the argument. As per a report of ‘The Sun’ - “This has happened occasionally with Jurgen and other players. He is very big on interaction with his subs before they go on and felt it didn't happen at first with Mo. Mo was obviously annoyed at being left out of the team and wasn't in the best of moods while Jurgen wasn't happy with his behaviour. The players were given a couple of days off after the match and are meeting up again on Tuesday. It is hoped that by then tensions will have calmed down.”
The Liverpool manager tried to sweep the issue under the carpet afterwards, addressing the journalists after the fixture: “We spoke about it in the dressing room, but it’s done for me. That’s it.” Salah though aggravated the matter stating: “fire today if I speak”.
There has been talks of Salah parting ways with the Reds amid interest reports from Saudi Arabia, while Klopp has disclosed that he will be standing down at the end of the season. The Merseyside club are in danger of going Trophyless in Klopp’s final season. They are currently positioned at third five points behind table toppers Arsenal in the Premier League table.
