Vinicius Junior pays tribute to Cristiano Ronaldo with his legendary celebration

Global megastar and former Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo is used to seeing players mimic his iconic celebration namely SUIIIII that involves jumping into the air, spinning and roaring in elation. That celebration has become so popular that even NFL, rugby and basketball players have joined in on the act.

Vinicius Jr, who now dons the legendary no.7 shirt at Santiago Bernabeu that was once worn by his idol Ronaldo, has paid homage to the legend of the game performing the ‘SIUUUU’ on many occasions. He, however, is aware that CR7 possesses other routines within his collection. 

Keeping that in mind, and finding the back of the net for Los Blancos in the second leg of their Champions League last 16 tie with RB Leipzig, Vini took to mirroring another of Ronaldo’s prominent routines- which sees him sitting on the advertising hoardings. 

Vincius’s goal proved to be critical as hosts survived a European scare to win 2-1 on aggregate and confirm their berth in the quarter finals. Their charismatic South American forward has now netted 15 goals this season.
