The veteran Indian batter Virat Kohli is the first batter in the world to score the most runs in a win against an opposition team. He achieved this feat in the third match against Sri Lanka on Sunday at Thiruvananthapuram.

The 34-year-old Kohli smashed the Visitors in the third match played between India and Sri Lanka. In the last match in Thiruvananthapuram, he played a blistering inning of unbeaten 166 runs. Virat has now become the first batter in the world to score the most runs in ODI cricket against any opposition team.

The former number one ODI batter becomes the first batter to score the most runs in a win against the opposition team. He achieved this feat in the third match played against Sri Lanka on 15 January. During this, he broke the records of the Legends of the game Sachin Tendulkar and Vivian Richards. Virat Kohli scored the highest 2992 runs while winning against Sri Lanka. Former Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar is number two in this matter. He scored 2950 runs in the win against Australia. While Sir Vivian Richards of West Indies is at number three on this list. Richards managed to score 2950 runs in the win against England.

Virat Kohli was successful in scoring the 46th century of his ODI career in the match against Sri Lanka. He is the second batter in the world to score the most centuries in this format. By the way, the record for scoring the most centuries in ODI cricket is in the name of former cricketer Sachin Tendulkar. Sachin had scored 49 centuries in his ODI career. Virat is just four steps away from breaking Sachin's record of centuries in ODIs. Team India will play the next ODI series against New Zealand. Which will start from 18 January.
