The ninth edition of the Women’s World T20 League will initiate on October 3 in Sharjah. This edition of the showpiece event will be held in UAE after the International Cricket Board shifted it from Bangladesh. Australia are the reigning champions and has won the last three editions of the tournament. 

The tournament opener will be played between Bangladesh Women and Scotland Women. This match will take place at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium, Sharjah on October 3. 

Bangladesh will feature in their sixth edition of the World T20 League. They couldn’t advance through the league stage in 2023. Scotland on the other hand is making their World T20 League debut appearance in the tournament.
