Sri Lanka and South Africa will cross swords for the 4th match of the World T20 League on Monday, June 3 at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York. Both countries are part of Group D alongside Bangladesh, Netherlands and Nepal. 

South Africa concluded in the third position of the Super 12 in Group 2, hence failing to qualify for the Semi-Final. Sri Lanka finished fourth in Group 1 after winning just two of their five Super 12 matches. 

Also, the Islanders were defeated by the Netherlands by 20 runs before they won their second game against Ireland by 41 runs. The Proteas on the other side suffered a humiliating whitewash against West Indies just before the commencement of the World T20 League 2024. The Aiden Markram-led side didn’t participate in any warm-up matches.
