The 30th match between the United States of America and Ireland will be played at the Central Broward Regional Park Stadium Turf Ground in Florida on Friday, June 14. 

The co-hosts have done wonders in this World T20 season. They won their first game against Canada by 7 wickets and later produced an upset by defending Pakistan in a super-over thriller. In the meantime, the Rohit Sharma-led ‘Men in Blue’ made them suffer their first loss of the tournament.  

On the other side, Ireland will play their third game of the event and so far lost in both of them. Their first game was a loss against the table toppers India by 8 wickets. In their last game, the Paul Stirling-led side drafted yet another defeat and are presently sitting at the bottom half of Group-A points table.

The surface conditions in the Central Broward Regional Park Stadium Turf Ground in Florida have favoured the sides batting first. The new ball comes to the bat nicely, allowing good batting conditions but also provides generous seam movement for the pacers. The pitch also tends to slow down as the match progresses, hence assisting the spin bowlers. Therefore there are high chances that the team winning the toss will choose to bat first. 

The weather forecast doesn’t look good for Lauderhill on Friday. The game seems to be a washout but we keep hope for the positives.

Match Prediction

Ireland, despite being a higher-ranked team, has not produced good results in this season of the World T20 League. Team USA, on the other side, has looked phenomenal and has defeated Canada and Pakistan, also worth mentioning that they, at a point, worried India. Ireland seems to be in poor form, hence we fancy the USA to win this match and advance to the Super Eight stage along with India, eliminating last year’s runners-up Pakistan in the process.
