Younis Khan makes a special appeal to this Indian star batter

Team India has refused to play in the Champions Series 2025 in Pakistan as the government has not permitted the team to travel to the neighbouring country due to political tensions. The previous bilateral series between the two was played in 2013, and despite the Men in Green coming to India for international events, the Men in Blue have never returned the favours. 

The Asia Series 2023 was also played in a hybrid model as India refused to visit Pakistan and the tournament matches were divided between them and the co-hosts Sri Lanka. As per reports the International Cricket Board could adopt the same procedure for the Champions Series 2025. 

In the meantime, ex-Pakistan skipper Younis Khan has requested Virat Kohli and other team India players to visit Pakistan. Indian prime talent Kohli hasn’t played in Pakistan but the fans there are crazy for him. India’s last tour in Pakistan was in 2006, which was two years prior to Kohli’s debut in international cricket.

“Virat Kohli should come to Pakistan for the Champions Series. It is our wish. The only thing left in his career is to play in Pakistan and perform,” Younis Khan was quoted as saying.

The Pakistan Cricket Board is now depending on the International Cricket Board to convince the Indian board to play in their country. Also, the budget for the mega event was approved in a recent meeting.
