Al Hilal will take on Ronaldo-led Al Nassr in the 24th League Fixture

The fourth-placed Al-Hilal is set to square off against 2nd-ranked Cristiano Ronaldo-led Al Nassr on Wednesday in the derby clash at 12:30 AM IST from King Fahd International Stadium in the Saudi Arabia League. Last year both sides faced each other three times. Al-Hilal had two victories with an aggregate score of 6-1, and the third game ended in a 2-2 draw. It is worth noting that confrontations are often effective.

In 24 league matches, Díaz's men have scored 46 points, and they are 10 points behind Al Ittihad the current leader in the league, which is unlikely to be reduced. Often Al-Hilal shows offensive football, but there are times when the defensive game fails which they want to work on before heading into this settling contest.

In the last three appearances, Al-Hilal only scored one point, drawing 2-2 with Al-Ta'ee. It should be noted that Odión Ighalo, has already scored 16 goals and assisted twice in the league and equalling Al-Ittihad's Hamdallah on the top for a leading goal scorer this season.

On the other hand, last week Al-Nassr dropped two crucial points against 12th-placed Al-Feiha for the title race which now separates them 3 points from Al-Ittihad. Every game from now on for the yellow submarine is going to be very crucial to be in the title race with Al-Ittihad. They can't afford to drop any points in the following games if they want to win the title.

Following the 0-0 scoreline against Al-Feiha, Rudi Garcia was fired after his team dropped crucial points last weekend. Ex-Croatian footballer Dinko Jelicic will have to act as head coach, debuting in the derby clash. The Portuguese talisman Ronaldo himself also eyeing to be back on the score sheet in this pivotal match. He already has 11 goals in the league and wants to increase his tally with more goals.
