Al Khaleej will take on Ronaldo-led Al Nassr in the 26th League Fixture

On the 26th match day of the Saudi Pro League 2023, 2nd-placed in the points table Al Nassr will take on the 14th-placed Al Khaleej on Monday at 09:30 PM from the Al Awal Park Stadium at King Saud University in Ar-Riyad.

Dinko Jelicic’s men will continue their quest for the Saudi Pro League title at the hands of leader Al Ittihad, the Yellow submarine will face relegation-threatened Al-Khaleej in an important match going ahead for the title race.

Ronaldo-led Al Nassr currently has 56 points and stands 2 in the points table, three points behind leaders Al Ittihad with 5 games remaining in the league. Al-Nassr have shown impressive form in the league this season scoring 53 goals and conceding just 14 goals. Al-Khaleej, on the other hand, is struggling to stay out of the relegation zone as they sit in 15th place with 23 points. Al-Khaleej merely score 22 goals and conceded 39 goals in the league so far.

This is the eighth meeting between Al-Nassr and Al-Khaleej in the Saudi Pro League, with Al-Nassr leading five wins, two draws and one loss to Al-Khaleej. The first meeting of the season ended in a narrow 1-0 win for Pedro Emanuel’s men thanks to Vincent Aboubakar's only goal in the fifth minute. Al-Nassr boasts a strong forward line with Talisca and Cristiano Ronaldo as the club's top scorers. Talisca scored 16 goals, while Ronaldo scored 12 goals. Both also received support from Abdulrahman Ghareeb and Ayman Yahya, who scored five and four goals respectively in the ongoing league.

Al-Khaleej relies on Sokol Çikalleshi and Fábio Martins as attacking threats. Çikalleshi has scored nine goals, while Martins has scored six. The two also had the assistance of A. Biyogo Poko and Lucas Souza had four and two assists respectively. In their last six league games, Al-Nassr has won three, drawn two and lost one. Meanwhile, Al-Khaleej has won two, drawn one and lost three in their last six meetings.
