Ashish Nehra and Gary Kirsten all set to reunite at Ahmadabad
Ashish Nehra as head coach and Gary Kirsten as mentor for the Ahmadabad franchise
The duo of Ashish Nehra and Gary Kirsten is set to reunite as CVC Capital, the owner of the Ahmadabad franchise has chosen these two legends as the head coach and mentor of the team respectively. They have previously worked together when the Indian team won the World Series in 2011 and then again for the Bangalore franchise. Thus, it is going to be a treat for their fans. To add to that, according to a few reports, Victor Solanki will be appointed as the director of cricket for the franchise.
When the Lucknow franchise had already made certain decisions, there was no news from the other new franchise. Sanjeev Goenka appointed Indian legend Gautam Gambhir as the mentor of the team while Andy Flower will be the head coach of the team and Vijay Dahiya will be serving as the assistant coach. Their social media pages are also promoting the new team and the official announcement regarding the team name and the players they will be having in their team is just around the corner. In contrast to that, CVC Capital was in a bit of trouble after the Indian board found out that the foreign company is also associated with betting. Since, the board has zero tolerance against betting, their participation was up in the air.
