After going hammers and tongs at each other in the test series, England and India will be crossing swords in T20 Internationals. The first of the three match series will be played at  Rose Bowl, Southampton on Thursday, July 7. England will be riding high on confidence after emerging victorious in the fifth test match. The dependable duo of Bairstow and Root helped the hosts chase down a mammoth 378 to level the 5 match series at 2-2. India on the other hand would be looking to start with a clean slate and go 1-0 up in the series. 

The visitors would be keen to make an impact in the T20I series, provided there are places up for grabs in the team. Key areas like middle order and openers slot remains a distinct addition while the new lineage of bowlers will look to earn early honours. Batting prowess comprises the likes of Deepak Hooda, Ishan Kishan and Suryakumar Yadav who on their day can single handedly change the fate of the match. Skipper Rohit Sharma is also expected to return within the squad. His return could be a huge plus for the men in blue. Liam Livingstone, Jason Roy and Dawid Malan will be the key batters to watch out for. In the bowling department, former world T20 champions have a good mix of pace and spin. Tymal Mills, Reece Topley and Chris Jordan will probably be the pacers the hosts will go with. And with Matthew Parkinson as their frontline spinner, the spin bowling department looks a little thin.
