Bangalore suffers a massive blow ahead of Indian T20 League 2023

Glen Maxwell has run out of his fortune as it appears on February 21, while representing Victoria against South Australia in the Sheffield Shield match at the Junctional Oval, the Aussie all-rounder succumbed to yet another injury.

Arguably the best batter there was forced to leave the ground due to a wrist injury after making his much-awaited comeback from the sidelines. He sustained the injury during fielding at the first slip.

The 34-year-old was hit on the wrist on Tuesday morning while fielding at the first slip and he immediately lay on the ground in immense pain. He left the venue while grabbing his arm with his other hand and failed to make a comeback for the rest of South Australia’s first innings game.

A Cricket Victoria spokeswoman said Maxwell’s scans revealed that he has no fractures and doctors are presently deciding on whether he can bat in the second innings.

Maxwell previously missed the whole Australian T20 League due to a leg fracture and just recovered from the injury. He managed to score only five runs in the inaugural innings of the game.

“It’s been a pretty long journey over the last three-and-a-half months”- Glenn Maxwell.

As he had responsibilities for his National side, he failed to participate in the Sheffield Shield since October 2019.

“It’s been a pretty long journey over the last three-and-a-half months, so a lot of early morning sessions, gym, rehab, pool sessions, physio, “To feel like I am at the back-end of that now and able to play some cricket is something I’m proud of, “I think probably 80 per cent. I have a fair bit to go until I am fully fit for a one-day game, which is what I’m working towards,” Glenn Maxwell said to journalists on Sunday.

Maxwell had an upsetting comeback to the Sheffield Shield. The hard-hitting batsman was holding the bat and competing in a tournament for the first time since October 2019 and scored only 5 runs from the opening edge. Maxwell will be on the radar as Australia will be playing an ODI series in India from Match 17.
