India set to assemble full strength squad for WI T20Is; Virat Kohli rested

All of the senior members of the white ball team, with the possible exception of Virat Kohli, are anticipated to play in the five-game series, therefore the India Twenty20 squad for the upcoming matches in the Caribbean will be at full strength. R Ashwin, who hasn't played in an international white-ball game in more than seven months, might even get a surprise call-up to the squad.

The selection committee will ensure that all T20I regulars are participating in the series, two of which are in the US, despite resting the majority of the seniors for the three ODIs that precede the T20Is against the West Indies, the possibility of which was first reported by this website on July 5. After providing enough chances, neither team will decide which players they wish to include or exclude from their World Series roster until then.

Since Kohli is an important component of the World Cup decision-makers' plans, his absence cannot be interpreted as a sign that he is not involved in the overall picture.

He is believed to have requested the team management, and the Indian Cricket Board to not take him into consideration. 

Ashwin, who was called up for the T20 World Cup in the UAE last year but has not received many opportunities subsequently for a number of reasons, including fitness, is another player the management and selectors want to put to the test. However, Ashwin was informed that his knowledge and abilities are used in their plans when Dravid and Rohit took over the team's leadership in November. If he isn't called up for the West Indies series soon, if not right away, it will come as a surprise.
