Kamlesh Jain is set to become the head physio of the India team

The current head physio of the Kolkata franchise is all set to represent the national team. After a very short spell of Nitin Patel, the board has decided to appoint Nitish Jain as the head physio of the Indian team. Reports suggest that the national coach Rahul Dravid, NCA President VVS Laxman and the board secretary Jay Shah were very impressed during the interview. Kamlesh is expected to join the team after he fulfils his commitment in the Indian T20 League.

Studied at London Metropolitan University, Jain is a well known name in the Kolkata franchise. He is with the franchise for 7 years now and has worked as an assistant physiotherapist under Andrew Leipus for four years before becoming the head physio of the team. He is also connected with the Bengal Ranji team but starting next month, his focus will be on the national team.

Yogesh Parmar, who is currently working with Nitin Patel, will continue as the team is expected to have multiple projects. We have seen how the country can afford to field two teams and that is exactly why Yogesh Parmar will continue in the set-up. Meanwhile Patel will be working as the head of Sports Science and Sports Medicine in the National Academy.
