Man Utd interested in signing Sofyan Amrabat
Manchester United keeping close tabs on Amrabat
There has been a great deal of discussion around Fiorentina midfielder Sofyan Amrabat’s future at the club. With his contract soon to be ending, the 26 year old has been heavily linked to many European clubs and that talk has intensified after his majestic contributions to Morocco's historic World Cup campaign.
As per the reports, Man United are leading the race in signing the promising prospect after already bolstering their midfield with the addition of Mason Mount from Chelsea.
Negotiations are not advanced at this instance, but according to Plettenberg talks have taken place and the red devils remain interested. This could become a talking point for Man Utd later in this window, probably due to the club primarily focusing on roping in a goalkeeper to Old Trafford following David De Gea’s departure after the completion of his contract, while also looking for a Number 9.
Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich are also keeping a close eye on Amrabat as per the reports, but there has been nothing definite at this stage. The Bavarians much like United also have concrete plans of bringing in a striker, and their quest for strengthening their forward line has been widely reported with Tottenham Hotspur’s enigmatic amulet Harry Kane, while Eintracht Frankfurt’s Randal Kolo Muani has also been linked.
