Qatari Sheikh to make third bid for Man Utd Sale as new deadline looms 

As per sources Sheik Jassim bin Hamad Al-Thani will propose another bid to buy Manchester United on Friday and remains positive it will be successful despite concerns current owners, the Glazer Family, are resolute to stay. 

Raine Group, the merchant group monitoring the process for the Glazers, are expecting a third round of offers by 10 p.m. BST on Friday (5 PM ET) before naming an approved bider to enter in a period of exclusivity. 

Qatar backed Sheikh Jassim and INEOS, overlooked by British billionaire Sir Jim Ratcliffe, will submit new bids while proposals will be presented by groups interested in buying a minority stake including the likes of Elliot Management, Ares Management Corporation, Carlyle and Sixth Street. 

According to sources INEOS have come up with an offer which would include Joel and Avram Glazer, the most involved at Old Trafford, to keep a stake in the club- a move that has already been severely criticised by fans.

Sheik Jassim is only in favour of purchasing 100% of the shares and completing an entire takeover and there is hope within his consortium that the offer will be tempting enough to entice Glazers to sell. 

In November Glazers announced they would look at “strategic options” including a full sale or investment. If we were to believe the sources then “clarity” over the ownership situation is just a month away. 

Fears are there among supporters that the Glazers, who led a leveraged buyout of United in 2005, will accept the minority share and remain in control at Old Trafford. 

Fans are planning to protest ahead of Sunday’s PL clash against Aston Villa with organisers demanding an 18 minute boycott at the start of the game to symbolise each year the Glazers have owned the club.
