Match-10, Group-A: IND-W vs BAR-W

India Women will be locking horns with Barbados Women in the 10th Match of the Commonwealth Games, Women’s T20I Championship at Edgbaston in Birmingham on Wednesday, August 3. 

India Women despite losing their opening encounter gave Australia Women a tough fight. But they came back stronger in the second match against Pakistan. The rival team faced a humiliating defeat as they were bowled out for only 99 runs in the first innings with Indian bowlers Sneh Rana and Radha Yadav picking two wickets each. Later Smriti Mandana led from the front and smashed unbeaten 63 runs to chase the target in just 11.4 overs. India now sits in the second spot with two points and they need just one more win to march into the semi-finals. But a loss will win their campaign in group stages only. 

On the other side, Barbados Women had a flourishing start to their Commonwealth campaign with a win against Pakistan. In the second fixture, Australia Women, the defending T20 World Champions defeated them by 9 wickets. They were all out for just 64 runs against the Aussies. They are currently in third place on the Group B leader board with two points.
