Lahore (LAH) and Karachi (KAR) will lock horns in match 26 of the Pak T20 League 2022 at the Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore on Friday. Led by Shaheen Afridi, Lahore have been in excellent form off-late. With 5 wins in 7 games, they are comfortably placed at second position. Karachi on the other hand are yet to open their account this season. This is their worst run in the T20 competition. Babar Azam’s men will look to get the first win of 2022 and add some substance to their miserable campaign. 

Lahore is in terrific form at the moment. They have won 2 games on trott and will be eager to extend their winning streak to three games. Batters have done exceptionally well, bowlers have displayed immense courage and the entire squad has worked together like a well oiled machine. Fakhar Zaman will be their key man. He is in blistering touch with bat in hand, scoring 474 runs at an impressive average of 67. Kamran Ghulam is the other batter, the Karachi bowlers need to watch out for. Bowling attack possesses the menacing pace duo of Shaheen Afridi and Haris Rauf. They have enjoyed good support from Wiese and Rashid Khan from the other end.    

Karachi have been exposed right throughout the tournament. They have failed to hold their nerves at key moments, as a result have always been on the receiving end. In the last game against Multan, Karachi did everything right except the last five overs of the match. Chris Jordan leaked way too many runs in the death to hand Multan an improbable win. If you look at this Karachi side it is filled with star studded players. The batting order has the likes of Babar Azam, Joe Clarke and Sharjeel Khan. Bowling department comprises the services of Chris Jordan, Romario Shepherd and Umaid Asif. Despite a decent squad on paper, Kings have struggled to find their feet in the tournament. They will need to play out of their skins to induce a favourable outcome.
