Shah Rukh Khan owned franchise to operate in UAE T20 League

Finally, the sixth and final franchise of the UAE T20 League has been announced and thus it is now confirmed that Shah Rukh Khan and his company will own and operate the Abu Dhabi team in the tournament. The tournament also has teams of Adani Sportsline, Reliance Foundation, GMR of the Delhi franchise, Glazer's family of Manchester United and Capri Global. With the introduction of the final team, the official announcement concerning the dates is just around the corner. Rumours say that the tournament will clash with the Australian T20 League or will happen in the month of February.

Shah Rukh Khan, the Principal owner of the new franchise was delighted after getting the rights to own and operate a team in the tournament. Shah Rukh Khan in a statement said, “For several years now, we have been expanding the brand globally and closely watching the potential of T20 Cricket in UAE. We are excited about becoming a part of UAE’s T20 League, which no doubt will become hugely successful”.

Shah Rukh also owns franchises in the Indian T20 League and in the West Indies T20 League. They will also operate a team in the United States where the franchise is also building a stadium in Los Angeles for the development of the sport in that region. The Bollywood superstar has the habit of winning tournaments as his teams in India and West Indies are very successful ones and in UAE, he would love to keep the habit going. Even though the players are not finalised yet, one can expect a cracking tournament for sure!
