Match 24 of the Aus T20 League 2021 will see Thunders taking on Scorchers at the Perth Stadium, Perth. While Thunders are placed at fourth with nine points to their name, Scorchers are strongly positioned at the top of the league standings with 5 wins in as many games. Thunders lost their previous fixture against Sixers by 30 runs. Scorchers on the other hand continued their dream campaign with a resounding 8 wicket victory over the Renegades.   

Thunders have been substandard in this tournament so far. Batting has been good at patches but not throughout the seven games. Bowling has shown promise but crumbled under pressure. Senior pros like Alex Hales haven’t had the best of starts to their campaign. The explosive opener has just managed to score 85 runs in 5 innings. He will be keen to get back to his very best and help his team gain a much required win. Sam Billings and Jason Sangha are the other two batters, Thunders rely on. Bowling department is bolstered by the addition of Saqib Mahmood who has instantly made an impact with his presence. Nathan McAndrew, Jason Sangha and Daniel Sams will be the other bowlers to keep an eye on. 

Scorchers have unsurprisingly been the best team of this T20 competition so far. They are still undefeated and will be desperate to keep it that way. Batting looks potent with Munro, Patterson, Bancroft and Evans all getting among the runs. Bowling department has been lethal with Tye and Beherendoff leading the charge. While Behrendorff has established his prowess with the new ball, Tye has delivered with the old ball. The former champions have hardly put a foot wrong and will be keen to continue their domination.
