AL Nassr will take on Abha in the Quarterfinal

Al Nassr vs Abha is all set to take on each other in the King Saud University Stadium to find victory in the quarterfinals of Saudi King Champions 2023 at 08:00 PM IST. It was a hard defeat the one that reaped for Ronaldo's Al Nassr on his last day of the league.

Rudi's team lost to Al Ittihad following Romarinho's goal in the final stretch of the match. That goal made the Saudi Championship change ownership and Ronaldo's team lost first place. The second-placed in the Saudi League, Al Nassr match was atypical where they had few chances to score and where Rudi's men were inferior to the current league toppers Al Ittihad who dominated throughout the match.

The 12th-placed in the league, Abha drew in their previous match against the sixth-placed Al Fateh SC. The match ended with a draw between the rivals, where both managed to score two goals in the opposite goal. The first goal of the match came barely eleven minutes into the game when Al Zoari managed to score to put the local team ahead. Just nine minutes later, Caicedo managed to increase his team's advantage by scoring the second goal of the match, leaving the team 2-0 up at half-time.

Five minutes from the beginning of the second round, the visitors receive a penalty in favour. Moroccan footballer Batna did not miss the opportunity to close the gap on the scoreboard, scoring the maximum penalty and leaving the rivals just one goal behind. This advantage for the locals would end in the 96th minute of the game when, once again, Batna scored the second maximum penalty in favour of the visitors, 2-2 was put in the light.

Al Nassr won its previous meeting, in the Saudi Cup, against Al Adalah Club. The match ended with the victory of the locals by two goals to nil. Rudi Garcia's team won this match to get a place in the quarterfinals. The first goal of the match came in the 41st minute, courtesy of a shot from Ayman Yahya, who would make it 1-0 in the light. The second goal came two minutes before the end of playing time. An assist from Abubakar and a shot from Sami Al Najei sealed the match with the second goal for Al Nassr, 2-0.

Both sides have met 11 times, where Al Nassr has won more matches than its rival, with a difference of four victories. Rudi García's team has won six times, while Abha has won two games. In three other games, they have signed tables between them.
