Preview 

The two ends of the Pak T20 League collide in Lahore as table toppers Multan Sultans (MUL) square off with Lahore Qalandars (LAH) at the bottom of the ladder. 

With five losses from five fixtures, you would think LAH to have a unit low on confidence and a bunch of players completely out of form. Well, that isn’t the case. Rassie van der Dussen comes into this encounter on the back of an unbeaten 104 in Sunday’s loss to Peshawar Zalmi (PES) and is the leading run scorer in the competition. Furthermore, captain Shaheen Afridi is also bowling well with decent pace. Afridi picked a three-fer against PES and has been amongst the wickets over the last four outings. 

Besides the pair, Sahibzada Farhan is in the form of his life and has already registered three half centuries this season at the top of the order.  Certainly that maiden win is not far away, right?

At times a quality side in any sport comes down to who makes the best sum of their fragments but it would be unjust to say that MUL are without their star players. Reeza Hendricks hit 11 boundaries in his 72 run knock and is only behind Rassie van Der Duessen with the bat in the competition. And speaking of star performers with bat in hand, Mohammad Rizwan, the top scorer from last year’s Pak T20 League smashed his second half century of the season in the last fixture.    

With batters like Rizwan and Hendricks, who needs top bowlers? Well, it would seem that MUL do? Fortunately they have Mohammad Ali in their ranks, who also happens to be the leading wicket taker in the competition. Then they have David Willey, who claimed three wickets in the last game.
