Salem Spartans will cross swords with Chepauk Super Gillies in the second match of the Tamil Nadu T20 League 2023. The match will be played at the SNR College Cricket Ground in Coimbatore on Tuesday, June 13. 

Salem Spartans were the bottom fraggers in the last season of the Tamil Nadu T20 League. They managed to win just one out of their seven league games. On the other side, Chepauk Super Gillies were in sublime touch in the previous league season and shared the trophy with the Lyca Kovai Kings. They went victorious in five of their seven league games and were holding the second position in the points table when the league matches were completed. 

SS didn’t perform well in the last season of the league and will be hoping for better results in this season of the tournament. They have added some extra power in the batting and bowling departments. Kaushik Gandhi will be leading the team, he is an experienced batter and we are sure he is an ideal choice and will lead the Spartans from the front. 

CSG on the other side performed exceptionally well last season and will try to replicate the same performance this year in the Tamil Nadu T20 League. Their major advancement into the squad came in the form of Baba Aparajith who is going to lead the side in this year’s campaign. The batting side is strong on pen and paper. We hope the Chepauk side gives a tough fight to the other franchises in this tournament.

The 2nd Match of Tamil Nadu T20 League 2023 is scheduled to be played at SNR College Cricket Ground in Coimbatore. The surface here at this stadium is flat and favourable for the batters as there is almost no pace or bounce. The outfield in this stadium is remarkably fast and the ball will be travelling to the outfield pretty faster. The pitch also provides a lot of help for the spinners but almost all teams in this league have a powerful batting lineup so in this case it does not matter at all. A total of 180 runs should be a par score on this ground.
