It promises to be a mouthwatering contest at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium this Sunday, as Pakistan Women take on India Women in the 7th match of the Women's World T20 League. Historically, India women have dominated the Pakistan women in T20 games and come in as favourites ahead of today. Pakistan has come into good form; notably, it owns a formidable spin attack and thus makes for an exciting clash.

India Women are coming off a disappointing 58-run defeat to New Zealand, where they could not chase 162 runs and got reduced to just 102 runs. The defeat has increased the team's stakes as each match becomes crucial for the World Cup. Although India is one of the favourites in the white ball, they haven't yet won the World T20 League. Their best finish in it was runner-up spot in 2020.

Her main players include Smriti Mandhana, Harmanpreet Kaur, and Jemimah Rodrigues. In particular, her form in the series thus far has been excellent, scoring 507 runs in 15 T20I innings this year with an average of 42 and a strike rate of 122. India's all-spin trio of Radha Yadav, Deepti Sharma, and Shreyanka Patil will love India's dry Dubai pitch. Seamers Pooja Vastrakar and Renuka Singh will lead India's seam attack.

Pakistan Women's started their campaign with a solid win over Sri Lanka by 31 runs, bowling their opponents into submission effectively. Even though the team was bowled out for just 116 runs, their bowlers, led by skipper Fatima Sana, came out shining very bright as Sana scored 30 runs and took 2 wickets for just 10 runs.

Pakistan might need a healthy effort from its spinners as Diana Baig may miss the match with an injury from which she may not have fully recovered. However, it will look towards their batting unit along with Muneebe Ali and co to challenge India with key contributors Nida Dar and Omaima Sohail.

Match Prediction

India Women dominate history and are currently leading Pakistan by 12-3 m T20Is. They have won four of the last five games, evidence that they are getting better with this format. You cannot rule out Pakistan's boost after an opening win, and their spinners could be an issue for India.

Overall, Pakistan looked promising whereas India seems balanced and good enough with quite a few seasoned players by having a better batting lineup than  Pakistan. So, we are backing India Women to win this contest.
